I may not agree with your behaviour, but that doesn’t mean I dislike you as a person. I believe we are called to reject actions that are not Christ-like, and to address those behaviours, not to reject the individual. To dislike someone as God’s creation would be to say that His work isn’t good, but I believe He made all things beautiful.
Everyone has the free will to choose their actions, and if those actions don’t align with Jesus’ teachings, I cannot condone them. I will respectfully disagree with those behaviours, but I will never treat you unfairly because of them.
We can disagree and hold one another accountable, yet still show compassion and understanding. It’s the behaviour I oppose, not the person.
