I like to believe I’m not like that. When I witness behaviours or choices that trouble me, I pause and reflect deeply on who I am and who I aspire to be. It’s not always easy – sometimes I see those same flaws within myself, and it challenges me to grow. Yet my intention remains clear: to act with integrity, compassion, and honesty, even when it’s difficult. I strive to be someone who builds others up rather than tears them down, who chooses understanding over judgment.
This journey is ongoing, requiring honest self-examination and a commitment to change. I don’t claim to be perfect, but I aim to be different, not out of pride, but from a sincere desire to live according to values that truly matter.
When I reach the end of my journey, I want to be able to say with pride that I ran the race well – that I succeeded not by pulling others down, but above all, by lifting others – up and living as Jesus has called me to live.
