Our external influences can have a profound effect on how we view the world around us. Our thoughts, opinions, and values are constantly shaped by those we surround ourselves with. Unfortunately, it’s all too easy to internalise negative messages which slander other people and us. It can be difficult to recognise when these beliefs start to impact our lives, but it’s important not to allow them to take root in our subconscious. Making sure that we actively assess what we internalise is critical if want to remain strong in the face of adversity and never lose sight of our potential. It might feel like an overwhelming task at times, but it is necessary if we want to be the best version of ourselves. We each have the power to decipher between right and wrong; therefore, can make decisions undeterred by external influences.
